Maxisafe Quad-Lock Cam and Groove

Operating Instructions*

* First and foremost, always wear your complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

To Install the MaxiSafe Quad Lock:
1) Open all four levers to the fully opened position (extended outwardly).
2) Grasp both levers on one side and close half way (45 degree position).
3) Grasp both levers on the other side and close half way (45 degree position).
4) Push all four levers at the same time completely closed.
5) Be sure all 4 levers are completely locked.
To Disconnect the MaxiSafe Quad Lock:
1) Grasp the rings on the two outer levers (these rings are round).
2) Pull straight back (away from the front of the fitting) and at the same time pull outwardly.
3) At this point you have broken the seal. What happens next is very important.
4) You should check very carefully around the levers to see if any product is coming out.
5) If nothing is coming out, grasp the two inner rings (paper clip shaped) and pull straight back and outwardly as you did the round rings.
6) At this point, you can separate the fitting as you would any standard camlock fitting.

CAUTION: QUAD LOCK CAM AND GROOVE FITTINGS

During Step 4, if you observe product coming out around the levers immediately step back. Take a moment to assess the situation. Lower pressures and thicker products are more manageable. However, higher pressures and thinner products can create a spray that may require complete PPE coverage to bring under control.

The MaxiSafe Quad Lock is an excellent, safe camlock but is not a substitute for wearing complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) every time it is installed or disconnected.

NOTE: Always inspect your fittings before use. Ensure it is in safe operating condition. Check for contamination and clean after each use.
