Maxisafe Camlock Pressure Testing

Best Case Scenario

Maxisafe Camlock Pressure Testing

Best Case

When a Maxisafe Camlock is released, the two outer levers are opened first. Any pressure remaining in the pipe will cause a small leakage while the two inner levers still hold the Camlock firmly in place.

Worst Case Scenario

Worst Case

Without a Maxisafe Camlock, once the levers are released a traditional fitting may explode off the pipe causing pollution, damage and operator injury.

Maxisafe Camlock fittings have been pressure tested by a metallurgical testing facility per ASTM Guidelines at pressures far exceeding everyday pressures expected to occur in the field.

The 2" fittings have been tested at 375 PSI and the 3" fittings have been tested at 225 PSI for compliance with ASTM Standard F1387.

Additionally, as if these pressures were not high enough, the fittings were tested for leakage at even higher pressures.

The 2" fittings have been tested at 800 PSI and the 3" fittings have been tested at 600 PSI following ASTM Guidelines.

Copies of these test reports are available by contacting MaxiSafe Fittings, LLC.
